There ´s nothing new to say about Positano, and it goes without saying that it is one of the most fascinating places in the world, where both during the day and at night- time you can go through wonderful experiences that you are unlikely to find elsewhere. Tourists visiting Positano should bear in mind that this is a town with steep streets and more than its fair share of stairways, with many colourful pastel houses crammed on the hillside next to the beachfront, competing with each other for the best sea view. When you first arrive in Positano, do consider paying the tourist information office a visit. Located on the Via del Saracino, next to the Via dei Mulini and the central Piazza Flavio Gioia, this tourist information outlet is conveniently close to one of the town’s most famous sights, the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. The town is undeniably a very special, unique and ‘real’ part of Campania, boasting dramatic cliff-hugging roads, popular beachfronts and some of the very best views that you are ever likely to experience. Apart from the beaches and water sports, other tourist attractions include cruises along the Amalfi Coast, the very beautiful Bay of Salerno, and a choice of walking trails, with a very appealing cliff side path connecting the Spiaggia Grande and Spiaggia del Fornillo beaches. Whilst there are no real museums of note within the town of Positano, there is plenty of history, particularly nearby. If you are able to take a few day trips, then nearby Naples is home to a very impressive selection of museums, with plenty of historical information about Campania. Alternatively, take a short excursion to Pompeii or Herculaneum and learn more about the Roman culture that once flourished in these ancient Roman towns, which are really like giant open-air museums, filled with treasures around every corner. Campania is a very popular part of Italy and has much to offer visiting tourists. During the summer, the town’s waterfront is bustling with ferries, hydrofoils and other boats, which whisk people to destinations such as Amalfi, Naples, Ravello and Sorrento. The isle of Capri is especially close to Positano and makes for a very worthwhile day trip, offering everything from glorious sandy beaches and Mediterranean ‘sea caves’, to historic sights around the centrally located Piazza Umberto.

Graziella's brother Pietro handled our booking & was very easy to deal with. When we arrived in Positano, our driver took us to the hotel that manages the Villa & checked us in. We were taken to the Villa & shown around. It is a beautiful Villa! It's huge & the view is amazing! The Villa has a very friendly house keeper that is there some during the day so if you're looking for total privacy, this Villa may not work for you. This was a bit different than we are used to but I'm sure some people would like to have daily housekeeping. We had a really nice stay & the hotel concierge was extremely helpful with anything we needed.
We were 12 people at Villa Positano for our 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. It was perfect. We loved every moment of our stay there. We had a wonderful time at the villa and totally enjoyed drinking wine and chatting with the owner, Graziella. We want to come back! I got wonderful help from the Summer In Italy staff, from finding the right villa for us to catering a meal at the property. I really appreciated all your help and I would definitely use your company again! Thank you!
The home is lovely and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The service received by Pietro who took amazing care of us was exceptional. He was very accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed. Pietro also cooked an unbelievable meal for our family in the villa one evening. One of the best meals we had our entire vacation! I didn't even know I liked eggplant until I tried his eggplant parmesan! Yum! I would highly recommend Villa Positano. It is within walking distance to everything you might need and the service is outstanding!
Graziella and Pietro, Thank you for all of your assistance in making our vacation in Italy a lifetime memory. Our two families had an extraordinarily great time staying in your villa. The villa, including the grounds and amenities was fabulous. The pool area, the majestic views, the dining areas – all were amazing. You have a great staff in Lisa, Suzie and Steve. They were all very polite and helpful during our stay. Again, appreciate the opportunity you gave us to stay at your villa. It was a wonderful vacation.
This was our first trip to Italy. Traveling with my mom (she is 82 years young), I was nervous. I wanted to know that assistance was readily available if needed. I couldn't have chosen better than Villa Positano! We opted for airport pick-up in Naples, Graziella sent a car. The driver was helpful, friendly, informative. Graziella greeted us with a warm welcome. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Every morning began with warm delicious homemade croissants, fruit, juices and hot beverages. We sat on the porch or by the pool and talked with Graziella and Pietro and other guests about our day and our plans. We did our laundry and hung it out to dry. We felt, not just welcome, but like favourite family coming for a visit! Staying here was an outstanding way to begin our visit to Italy! We walked where ever we wanted to go from here-the train station (but not with luggage!), the piazza, the lemon grove. And from the pool area I could only just see the tops of the lounge chairs at the Hilton, otherwise I never would have known it was there. Villa Positano is a treasure! Graziella and Pietro made it so.
The area we stayed in was beautiful, with friendly and attentive staff as well as some amazing experiences and restaurants.
